We checked 64 automotive business websites in Tashkent against 30 measurable criteria. The sample covers official dealers, parts shops, car service centres, tyre centres and rental companies. Of all the industries we have studied, the automotive business turned out to be the most technically mature. All 100% of the sites run on HTTPS and work on a phone. 59% have an Uzbek version, and 72% have analytics installed. But that maturity is uneven. Dealers are well ahead, while parts shops and service centres lag behind. And not one of the 64 sites uses car dealer markup for Google. Below you'll find every figure, the method and 4 key steps for anyone running an automotive business.

Data collected on 17–18 October 2026. A 101digital study, Tashkent. We checked only public pages and do not name the companies.

Key figures

  • 100% of sites load over HTTPS and are built for mobile. No other industry in this series with a sizeable sample matches that.
  • 59% of sites have an Uzbek version. 22% open in Uzbek by default. That is almost three times the rate for clinics.
  • Among dealers, 76% have an Uzbek version. Among parts shops, only 40% do.
  • 72% of sites have analytics installed (85% of dealers). The other 28% run without a tracker.
  • 9% use organisation markup for Google. Not a single site uses the dedicated AutoDealer type.
  • 30% have no meta description and 30% have no H1. On 36%, the title runs past 60 characters.
  • 50% use modern image formats (WebP/AVIF). That is the best result of any industry we studied. Yet 55% of images have no alt text.
  • 75% of sites list Telegram, compared with just 11% for WhatsApp. Among the industries in this series with a sizeable sample, that is the highest Telegram share.
  • Only 5 sites out of 64 meet all 5 basic requirements (HTTPS, mobile version, markup, sitemap, Uzbek version).

What we checked and how

We built the company list on 17–18 October 2026 from public sources. We used search queries in Russian, Uzbek and English, the top.uz, yellowpages.uz and goldenpages.uz directories, and dealer pages on car portals. We also checked about 600 industry and brand domains directly. The study covers 64 sites. 33 of them are dealers (official brand representatives and multi-brand showrooms, including a few commercial vehicle dealers). 15 are parts and oil shops, both physical and online. The sample also includes 9 service centres (repairs, tyre fitting, detailing, towing) and 7 rental companies.

We excluded 59 addresses. They included dead and parked domains, classifieds sites and aggregators. We also dropped global carmaker sites with no Tashkent dealer, companies based in other cities and pages that only led to Telegram. One detail sums up the market. 23 "generic" domains (zapchasti.uz, avtozapchasti.uz, autoparts.uz, shinalar.uz, tires.uz, avtoservice.uz, avtomoyka.uz and similar) all show the same registrar placeholder page. Someone bought the most obvious addresses in the industry and left them unused.

For each site, a script downloaded the homepage, robots.txt and sitemap.xml. It also recorded the HTTP headers and response time. We did not log into accounts or open hidden pages. A criterion counted as met only if the homepage code confirmed it. Take the "Uzbek version". We counted it if the homepage opened in Uzbek or the code linked to an Uzbek version. That link could be an hreflang tag, a /uz/ address or a language switcher.

59% of sites have an Uzbek version. 14 sites (22%) greet visitors in Uzbek straight away. That is the best result across every industry we studied. The reason is simple. Cars are bought across the whole country, not only by Russian speakers in the capital. Dealer networks understand this. Among dealers, 76% have an Uzbek version. Parts shops (40%) and service centres (44%) trail well behind. 39% of sites have hreflang tags set up. That is also the best result. But on the other 61%, Google may mix up the language versions.

The basics are in good shape. Not one site in the sample lacks HTTPS or a mobile version. 42% have enabled HSTS, noticeably more than in logistics. There are two weak spots. 45% of sites have no canonical URL. For car and parts catalogues with filters, that means duplicate pages in the index. On top of that, half the sites have not set up Open Graph. Share a link to one of them in Telegram and you get a blank preview with no image or description. And on 5 sites, the SSL certificate expires within the next 30 days.

Nobody uses AutoDealer markup for Google and AI search

Google supports dedicated markup types for the automotive business. They are AutoDealer, AutoPartsStore and AutoRepair. For specific models and parts with a price, there are Product and Offer (Google's documentation on business markup). Here is what we found in the sample:

  • 23 sites (36%) use markup of any type. Most often it is a generic Organization with no address or services.
  • 6 sites (9%) have organisation markup with an address (LocalBusiness, AutomotiveBusiness).
  • 0 sites use AutoDealer, AutoPartsStore or AutoRepair.
  • We found no Product markup with prices for cars or parts on any homepage.

Buyers in this industry search for a specific model and its price. So missing product markup is a clear missed opportunity here. That markup is what produces rich results showing price and availability. It also helps AI search answer "how much is this model in Tashkent" with a link to the dealer.

Dealer titles are often just the brand name. Parts shops do the opposite. They cram the whole range into a 90-character title. Only 34% of sites mention the city in the title. For a search like "official … dealer in Tashkent", the rest hand their rankings straight to aggregators.

One site in six takes over a second to respond

  • The median server response time is 0.53 s, and the average is 0.76 s.
  • 38% of sites respond in under 0.5 s. 16% take longer than 1 second, and 3 sites take longer than 2 seconds.
  • The median HTML size is 89 KB. On 7 sites it exceeds 500 KB.
  • 50% of sites use WebP/AVIF, and 44% use lazy loading for images.

Automotive sites are heavy by nature. They carry model galleries and configurators. So 50% of sites using modern image formats is a good result. We measured response time from Europe. That is enough to compare the sites with each other. Google treats a response time of up to 0.8 s as good (web.dev, Time to First Byte).

Telegram appears on 75% of sites. Among the industries in this series with a sizeable sample, that is a record. The figure reflects how people actually buy. In Uzbekistan, customers book test drives and ask whether a part is in stock through a messenger. 66% of sites mention prices. That beats dental clinics (56%) and logistics firms (54%). Maps are the weakest point. Almost three quarters of sites don't show where the showroom or service centre is. Yet for a buyer, that is the first practical question.

Automotive firms measure traffic better than other industries, but not everywhere

  • Google Analytics runs on 55% of sites.
  • Yandex Metrica runs on 45%.
  • The Meta Pixel runs on 9%.
  • 18 sites (28%) have no tracker at all. That applies to 15% of dealers and 40% of parts shops.

Images, platforms and freshness

The 64 homepages carry 3,041 images. Per homepage, that is more than in any other industry in the series. 55% of images have no alt text. On 11 sites, not a single image has alt text. For the automotive business, that means lost traffic from image search. Photos of models and parts could bring in visitors on their own. 77% of sites are custom-built or run on a platform we could not identify. Dealer networks often use the carmaker's corporate templates. 19% run on WordPress. 13% of sites show an outdated year in the footer. That is one of the best results across industries.

What sets the 5 best sites out of 64 apart

We picked five requirements that do not depend on budget. They are HTTPS, a mobile layout, organisation markup, a sitemap and an Uzbek version. Only 5 sites out of 64 meet all five. That is the paradox of the automotive business. Its basic infrastructure (HTTPS, mobile, analytics) is flawless. But it barely uses what makes a site stand out in search and AI answers. That means structured product data, canonical tags for catalogues and previews for messengers.

4 key steps for anyone running an automotive business

  1. Add AutoDealer, AutoPartsStore or AutoRepair markup with your address, +998 phone number, opening hours and map. None of your competitors has done this yet.
  2. Mark up your models and best-selling parts as Product with price and availability. That is how rich results with prices appear in search.
  3. Put the brand, the service and the city in your title. For example, "Official … dealer in Tashkent: prices, test drives, finance". Add a meta description and a single H1.
  4. Set up rel=canonical for your catalogue and filters. Otherwise Google will index hundreds of duplicates of the same page.

Our guides cover each step in detail: 12 reasons your website gets no leads, 10 things to know before building a corporate website, how to use Google Search Console.

Limitations of the study

  • We checked only the homepage, robots.txt and sitemap.xml. We did not analyse model catalogues or product pages. So we may have missed Product markup on inner pages.
  • A script detected the criteria from the HTML code. Sites built on JavaScript frameworks may have scored lower than they deserve.
  • We included 12 of the 64 sites based on directory data. Their homepages do not show an address in the static code. Our script still opened all 12 homepages and checked them against the same criteria. On 2 of them almost all content loads through scripts.
  • We measured response time from Europe.
  • The sample covers 64 sites we could find in public sources. Companies that work only through Telegram and Instagram are not included.
  • We recorded the data on 17–18 October 2026.

The 101digital series "Tashkent Business Websites, 2026": dental clinics, private clinics, manufacturing, logistics, jewellery business.

The 101digital study (October 2026) found that 59% of 64 Tashkent automotive business websites have an Uzbek version. Among dealers and showrooms, the share is 76%. 22% of sites open in Uzbek by default. That is the best result across the industries studied.

36% of sites use markup of any type, and 9% use organisation markup with an address. None of the 64 sites checked uses the dedicated AutoDealer, AutoPartsStore or AutoRepair types.

72% of sites have at least one tracker. Google Analytics runs on 55% and Yandex Metrica on 45%. 28% of sites run without analytics. That applies to 15% of dealers and 40% of parts shops.

Telegram, by a wide margin. 75% of sites list it, compared with just 11% for WhatsApp. 75% have a clickable phone number and 64% have an enquiry form. 66% mention prices. Only 27% show a map of the showroom.

The median server response time is 0.53 seconds. 16% of sites take longer than a second to respond. 50% use modern WebP/AVIF image formats. That is the best result across industries.

On 17–18 October 2026, 101digital collected Tashkent automotive business website addresses from public sources. We excluded 59 that were dead, parked or not relevant. A script then checked the homepages of 64 sites against 30 criteria. The sample includes 33 dealers, 15 parts shops, 9 service centres and 7 rental companies. We do not publish company names, and all data is aggregated.
